The Preschool Ministry at Spring Valley Baptist Church truly loves and cherishes young children! We believe these preschool years are so important as the foundation for your child’s future, as we begin introducing them to His love in a way they can understand. During this stage, children are learning, growing, and forming their first impressions of God’s love. Through simple Bible stories, songs, play, and hands-on activities, we aim to plant early seeds of faith in their hearts.
We are honored to partner with you as parents, encouraging and equipping you as you guide your child to know and follow Jesus. It is our prayer that your child will grow each day, learning to love God and others, and, just as Jesus did, to grow in wisdom, in stature, and in favor with God and people (Luke 2:52).
In Christ,
Katie
Sundays
During the Worship Service at 9:30 AM, Extended Teaching Care is available for infants through kindergarten. During this time, preschoolers will enjoy fun, engaging activities, play in age-appropriate groups, and receive a snack. While there is no programming specifically available, 1st-12th graders are encouraged to attend the Worship Service in the Worship Center with their family or guardian and to take notes in the bulletin and bring their Bibles.
During Life Group at 11:00 AM, our teachers provide a warm and nurturing environment as they teach the Bible story and lead children in hands-on activities that connect to that Sunday’s lesson. All of our volunteers and teachers are background-checked and have experience working with preschool-aged children.
Midweek
We have so much fun on Wednesday nights at Preschool Midweek, and we would love for you to join us! Programming for preschoolers begins at 6:00 PM. Check-in for Midweek is the same as Sunday mornings. You’ll check your preschooler in at the Ark Atrium, where your child will receive a name tag to wear on their back, along with a matching security sticker for you. For pick-up, parents are asked to present their security sticker, which will be matched to their child’s tag to ensure a safe and secure dismissal.
During Midweek, we use Lifeway’s Hyfi curriculum, which helps preschoolers learn about God’s attributes in fun and engaging ways by searching for clues and connecting Bible truths to real-life objects. Throughout the evening, children enjoy playground time, singing songs, learning Bible stories, and, of course, snack time.
