Spring Valley Baptist Church - Next Gen Safety Guidelines
WE VALUE SAFETY
At Spring Valley Baptist, the safety of the next generation is of the utmost importance.
Preschoolers and Kids: Preschoolers and Kids must check in at the kiosk in the Ark Atrium on the Main Level, near the Worship Center. At check-in, your preschooler or kid will receive a name tag to wear on their back. This name tag includes important information such as your child’s name, assigned classroom, any allergies or medical notes, parent contact information, and a unique pick-up code. Upon checking in your preschooler or kid, parents and guardians will also receive a matching security tag. This tag must be presented at pick-up and will be matched to your preschooler’s or kid’s name tag to ensure a safe and secure dismissal.
WE SCREEN VOLUNTEERS
Every volunteer working with preschoolers, kids, and students has submitted a background check.
WE SET BOUNDARIES
We have set a few guidelines for all our Spring Valley Baptist staff and our preschool, kids, and student volunteers. As a parent or guardian, you can help us ensure your preschooler, kid, or student is well cared for by maintaining these boundaries.
Only approved Spring Valley Baptist Church volunteers and staff, along with parents and guardians during drop-off and pick-up, are allowed in the preschool, kids, and student areas. For the safety of all preschoolers, kids, and students, each ministry-specific area is a secure environment.
No Spring Valley Baptist staff member or volunteer should initiate a one-on-one meeting with a preschooler, kid, or student without a parent or guardian’s knowledge and consent.
No Spring Valley Baptist staff member or volunteer should text a preschooler, kid, or student one-on-one.
No Spring Valley Baptist staff member or volunteer should transport a preschooler, kid, or student alone in a vehicle.
All Spring Valley Baptist staff members and volunteers must always maintain appropriate physical boundaries with minors.
WE REPORT DANGEROUS SITUATIONS
Every Spring Valley Baptist staff member and preschool, kids, and student volunteers in our preschool, kids, and student ministries are mandated reporters, which means they are legally required to report any dangerous or potentially dangerous situations immediately, including
If a preschooler, kid, or student is being harmed, neglected, or abused.
If a preschooler, kid, or student is harming or abusing someone else.
If a preschooler, kid, or student is harming or at risk of harming themselves.
