Alex Lyons serves as Communications Director at Spring Valley Baptist Church, starting March 1, 2026. A native Chicagoan, Alex brings over 20 years of experience in nonprofit creative leadership, digital marketing and communication, and storytelling. He previously served as Creative Director for the South Carolina Baptist Convention and has also served as a missionary in Asia Pacific.

His passions in ministry include helping the local church communicate with clarity and purpose, supporting missions and discipleship, and using creativity to share the hope of the Gospel. Alex is a foster care alumnus, and enjoys spending time with the family God provided for him — his wife, Betsy, and their four children.
