Agape Friends homebound/outbound (including shut-ins, nursing, retirement) ministry of Spring Valley Church. Cards, visits, phone-calls, tapes of sermons, and flowers, are some fo the ways the ministry teams serve and share God's love to those who are unable to get out.  If you have an interest in this ministry area, we would love to have you serve with this dedicated, faithful group.

Mission trips and Mission Partnerships are a part of Spring Valley's vision to help grow Kingdom people. These are planned and made known to our church family through cooperation with convention.  The South Carolina Baptist Convention, the Columbia Metro Baptist Association, the North American Mission Board and the International Missions Board of the Southern Baptist.

Spring Valley works with God's Storehouse the Columbia Metro in special mission projects that help meet needs. Metro Changers, World Changers and Ministry with Hispanics are just examples of mission ministries.

We have a special connection with Inside Out of S.C., Inc. which is directed by our own Christy Gunnell.  Inside Out of S.C. Inc. is a non-profit organization supported in part by Spring Valley Baptist Church.  Incorporated in 2000, Inside Out works with families in crisis by going into a neighborhood and building relationships while meeting needs.  Our mission is building relationships with those outside the church in order to lead them to a life changing relationship with Jesus Christ.  Opportunities include tutoring in schools, helping Outreach projects in the community include school supply give-away, turkey and ham give-a-way during Thanksgiving, and Adopt-a-family at Christmas.  for more information and opportunities call Christy Gunnell, (803)319-0067

We teach and practice missions through our Missions Programs involving preschoolers, children, youth and adults.  Missions are at the heart of our congregational life as we worship our lord and serve him and others.
