Heather Heuman has been the Communications Director at Spring Valley Baptist Church since July 2025. She holds a B.S. in Special Education from Winthrop University and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University. As a Columbia native, Heather finds immense joy in helping the unseen and building community and connections through strategic communications.
Her passion is guiding others toward a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and ensuring that everyone—be it staff, church members, or newcomers—experiences joy, warmth, and a sense of belonging at Spring Valley Baptist Church.
Outside of her role, Heather cherishes time with her husband, Wayne, and their three children, Mahaley, Jules, and Fulton. They enjoy traveling, playing pickleball, and cheering for the Clemson Tigers. Heather also loves creating irresistible recipes in the kitchen, attempting to delight her family with culinary creations.
