Adult Sunday Morning Bible Study Classes

Classes begin at 9:45am unless stated otherwise in description

Young Singles (23-34)     

Room 103-104 (Outside of Fellowship Hall)                 

A class for young singles out of college and starting out in the workplace.  Topics will focus on developing their relationship with others and with Christ.  Lunch is provided.

 

Parents of Teenagers

Room S107

A class designed to help Married adults who have older children and teenagers. Topics and scriptural studies focus on helping members grow spiritually , emotionally and relationally.  Topics will vary but focus on building strong homes of faith.

 

Growing Disciples Class

Room 101-102 outside Fellowship Hall

This Bible study is designed for those who want to grow deeper in their walk with the Lord.  The participants will study the disciplines of a disciple of Christ.  Jesus gave a command to his followers: “Go therefore and make disciples...teach them to observe all I have commanded you.” 

 

Ladies Class (25-45)

Room 105-106 outside Fellowship Hall

A class for women, the first study will be a study by Priscilla Shirer which opens to all of us the potential of hearing God speak directly to us:   Discerning the Voice of God.

 

Visionaries (40+)

Room S111

A class designed for adults who long to know Christ and His Word more intimately, and have meaningful discussions and relationships with other believers, and “live life to the max.”



College Students

1st Classroom in Fellowship Hall Loft         

College students learn how to deepen their relationship with God and how to live the victorious Christian life in college.

 

Single Minded  All Ages

Room S113

Singles will learn how to balance a job, raising children and  teenagers, while trying to maintain their personal lives. Studies will encourage single adults in their walk with God and each other.

 

Couples Connection 20-32

New Education Building

 

Engaged? Soon to be married? Newly married? This class teaches how to build a solid, biblical foundation for marriage.

 

Thirty-something  (30-36) New Education Building

Thirty-something Plus (35-40) New Education Building

Couples strengthen their relationship with God, their spouse, their children, and other couples.

 

Faith in Action  (35-55)

These married adults will focus on serving others while engaging in Bible study and fellowship. Emphasis is placed on Christians in action and   building and growing Christian relationships.

 

Prayer Warriors  All Ages    

Room S114

Married, single again, or never married adults seek to grow closer to each other as they grow closer to God. Through prayer, Bible study, and     fellowship, they will explore the Bible together to learn the principles God has for each of them.

 

Serving Servants 40-50

Adults will learn how to balance life with children, the workplace, and aging parents.

 

Sacrificing Years  45-55

This class is designed to explore the Bible by topic and interact in meaningful discussions.

 

Blooming Boomers  50-59

Adults who desire to demonstrate their faith in their homes and community as God leads, equips, and empowers.

 

Empty Nesters   50-60

Room S115

For married couples who are facing an “empty nest.”  Join them as they study the Bible book by book. 

 

Fellowship Class 55-65

A class of married adults 55+, focusing on teaching God’s Word, caring, and fellowship. Explore the Bible curriculum is used to study the Bible book by book.

The Way-40+   Men’s class

A class for men only. This Masterwork Bible Study will emphasize living a godly life in Christ.

 

Prayer and Praise-60+  Ladies class

Ladies enjoy growing in the knowledge  of  scripture and the love of  Christ  as they share and care for each other.

 

Senior Coed  70+

Active retirees enjoy a Bible study entitled Explore the Bible that   emphasizes prayer, caring and fellowship.

 


Student Ministry (Fellowship Hall)
Energy abounds in Spring Valley's Middle School and High School Student Ministry. Our Students find encouragement and support to equip them with the knowledge and understanding of Christ in their daily activities. Students will meet together in the Fellowship Hall for worship, innovative lessons, videos and teaching time, followed by small group sessions where application of the lesson will be discussed.

 

Kingdom Kids 1st-5th grade
Sunday morning at Spring Valley offers a fun, caring atmosphere where children learn of God's love in an ever changing world.  Each child will be taught at the appropriate age level while engaging in interactive activities.

 

Preschoolers with a Purpose Birth-5yrs
Preschoolers will have a committed leader to guide them in the learning process where God's Word comes alive through active play, Bible stories and crafts.

 

Extended Teaching Time 8:45am and 11:00 AM
While parents are involved in worship, preschoolers will continue to enjoy a structured program of learning about God.
